5 of my all-time favorite romance books
It’s always fun to peek at someone’s personal library and see which books they keep as their all-time faves. The ones they read over and over, the ones they could quote, the ones they will recommend to others until the end of time. I have a longer-than-this list of romance books that I adore, but in order to keep this post at a reasonable length, I’ll share what I believe are my top 5. If I’m stranded on a desert island, these are the books I’d want.
The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker
I adore this book. It satisfies both the wolves in me: the one that wants women’s fiction and the one that wants romance. Aside from being set in a small Alaskan town, it’s does the enemies to lovers trope really well.
Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn
I’ve read multiple books by Kate Clayborn, and I’m always left feeling amazed at what an incredible writer she is. This book is charming, funny, and fun, you really get a sense for the destination (New York and Brooklyn), and there was a twist I did not see coming at the end.
Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren
It’s tough for me to pick only one Christina Lauren book for this list (The Soulmate Equation is a fave as well), but this one is just so enjoyable. There are many laugh-out-loud moments, and the hot mess female main character is delightful.
The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver
I’ve got a soft spot for this book. It’s not for everyone—for a romance, it’s quite sad during much of the book, since Lydia is grieving her late fiancé. But it is beautiful and I own a signed copy, I loved it so much. If you would like a book that addresses grief but also has an HEA, this is one to read.
This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens
You know the saying that “People will remember how you made them feel?” Well, I remember feeling like I had literal butterflies in my stomach by the end of this book. It was super swoony, and the main character goes through a lot of growth which is always nice to see.
