February Reading Wrap-Up

I always love looking back on the previous month and seeing what books I’ve read. February was a pretty good month for me; here are some of the books I got into!

Forget Me Not by Julie Soto
This book was spectacular! I picked it up almost solely based on the cover and I loved the story so much that this book has found a permanent spot on my bookshelf. I love a male main character who is downright devoted to the love interest. It was a wonderfully written, spicy second-chance, and I am beyond excited to pick up Julie Soto’s next book, Not Another Love Song, when it comes out. I’d say this was my favorite of the month.

Ready or Not by Cara Bastone
Soooo good! Definitely try the audiobook, if that’s your thing. I’m not usually big on the surprise pregnancy trope, but it works really well here. Bonus points for the golden retriever male main character, too! I adored the side characters in this story and it’s quite funny. It walks the line between romance, women’s fiction, and romcom in a way that I think it will satisfy if you’re looking for something in any one of those three genres.

The Pact by Karina Halle
Karina Halle is in the same category as Christina Lauren for me—a go-to author who I pretty much always enjoy. She is a master of spice and I love how her books utilize tropes so strongly but still feel modern, fun, and fresh. This book is about a marriage promise two people make (“If we’re both single by the time we’re 30, we marry each other!”) and how their relationship works out. This book won’t be for everyone, as the main characters spend some of the book dating other people—but if you like the yearn-y heartache of Right Person Wrong Time trope and love a Scottish male main character, then this one’s worth a try.

Do I *like* the surprise pregnancy trope?!
