What I Read in March 2025 (and Some April Hopefuls)

Because my debut novel, The Half of It, came out in March, and because I’m working hard on developmental edits for book #2, I didn’t get nearly as much reading in this month as I would have liked. Some months are like that!

The fun news is that my books shipped from the USA to Germany have finally arrived, and I’ll be moving into my new apartment this month and can finally unpack them. So hopefully April and getting into May, I’ll be reading up a storm. I’ll share with you the books I read in March, plus a few that I hope to get to this month too as I unpack and settle in.

The Half of It by Theresa Christine

I am not lying when I say I’ve read this book hundreds of times. But I wanted to do one final final final pass before publication, and it was so much fun to go through the story one more time while Aidan and June were just mine. There were certain rereads that felt tedious and frustrating, but this final one was so much fun and gave me a real appreciation for what I achieved.

Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes gave us a glimpse into how Coriolanus became President Snow as well as some history on the Games. We learn a lot more about the games in Sunrise on the Reaping, and some things that I think are a great pairing with the original trilogy. This book follows Haymitch’s games, but if you think you know what happens already in his games…I think you should pick this up. I loved this book and am already wanting to reread it.

Now, a couple of April hopefuls…

The Love We Found by Jill Santopolo

The first book in this series, The Light We Lost, had an absolute chokehold on me. Gah, it was SO GOOD. Preordered this baby and I already have it locked and loaded on my Kindle.

Mrs. Nash’s Ashes by Sarah Adler

The premise for this one sounds fun, and I love a good road trip romance. It sounds like there’s a lot of emotional depth here, which is right up my alley.
